Hi guys,

Currently when playing certain games my CPU is pinning at 100% causing massive stuttering. (6700k @ 4.4ghz)

Here is my full part list for my PC: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/kevin.read/saved/zYLCmG

I was thinking about buying a used PC locally to stream with and sending my video via NDI.

Does anyone have any experience or advise with this?

A few questions regarding this:

- What type of CPU should I be looking for to stream at 1080p 30fps @ 6000kbps with StreamLabs?

- If I am using x264 do I need a GPU? If so, how powerful?

Should I go second hand with these parts or should I build my own (I'm assuming Ryzen build)

Thanks!

just use the nvenc x264

Unfortunately I only have a 1060and NVENC pushes that far too hard for me to do anything else.

Have you tried using Nvidia Shadowplay? Takes the load off the CPU. You should also consider tuning your x264 settings to optimize for performance rather than sheer quality if you haven't already.

I haven't tried shadowplay but I will certainly look into it. I think either way I am going to need a second PC because I am really tied into StreamLabs.

I do a lot more than just play games. I am mostly a comedy streamer so I stick with the high quality because more than half of my streams are in just chatting.

In addition to this I was looking into a second PC so I can can have a second keyboard that I will use for scene changes, etc.

what?

At 1080p30 it barely affects the FPS. You shouldn't see more than 5FPS difference.
