HI,

my Ryzen system has multiple crashes in a row (up to 7) after a restart prompted by installing a software or after making changes in Ryzen Master (SMT on/off, disabling CCD). And no overclocking whatsoever. It goes back to normal afteI let ic 'cool down' overnight.

Coming from an Intel CPU (6700k), I was able to fool around there with disabling cores and HT without the system even flinching in over 3 years. Not a single crash unless caused by a virus (one time after dowloading an opening an infected -.exe).

Otherwise, the experience is outstanding. 3ds max renders completed in 1/3 of the time, stable framrates during gaming... this thing FLIES.

Just asking if anyone else has similar experience and what to do about it (wait for a BIOS update (agesa 1004), driver update, RMA...)

thank you in advance

A spec list would be great, if you can link a PC partpicker or type up a list of the components.

All the components apart from the mobo and CPU have been working flawlessly on the previous system (Asus z170-a+6700k) for the past 3 years

Also the RAM SKU is listed on the mobo QVL.

When you installed the new MB and CPU did you fresh install Windows or just re-use the same installation?

  • 1 month later...

I have a similar problem-

Works perfectly with XMP disabled; fails randomly on restart with XMP enabled.

Other than randomly hanging on restart, it runs perfect at speed and cold boot.

Three different x570 motherboards, three different 3600 DRAM, and two different PSU.

I have two systems-

1- Asus Strix x570-F, G.Skill Trident Z NEO 3600mhz (2x16gb)16-19-19-39, Ryzen 3900x

2- Gigabyte x570-I Aorus, G.Skill Trident Z NEO 3600mhz (2x8gb)16-19-19-39, Ryzen 3600x

I have never had an issue with the 3600x.

I have never gotten the 3900x stable with DRAM at 3600mhz.

I swapped just the CPUs on 1 and 2-  The 3600x keeps on ticking and the 3900x keeps on hanging randomly on restart.  I have tried many settings geardown procODT, RTT_Park, Dram voltage...

I'm just about ready to throw in the towel and RMA the CPU...

Any last suggestions will be appreciated,  Thanks
