How do i set up my machine to use WoL

So i've started playing Archeage Unchained and due to work schedule i sometimes don't have time for the 2 hour queues there currently are to get into game. I recently found out that my NIC supports WoL problem i've never set up a machine for WoL before, other than enabling it in the BIOS i actually have no idea what to do. Can anyone help me?

 

Also i'll be controlling it from a phone (well that's the plan anyway)

Is that phone on the local network(same broadcast domain)

No it's not on the same broadcast, it's my personal mobile phone

 

If by enable in the OS you mean ticking the "magic packet" box in the NIC power management then yes

Then you need to do port forwarding on your router.

 

Why not just leave your system on for that time? Modern systems dont' use that much power idle.

As i'm paying for electric i'm not sure how much power it would actually use

You could also try setting your computer to turn on on as schedule.
