Hey guys,

Anyone else with Nvidia GPU on Freesync monitor started experiencing 2-3 screen blackouts whenever a program (e.g. gigabyte utility) is opened after updating to newesr drivers? I read they added gsync support for opengl and vulcan applications. If freesync on monitor is off, no blackouts occur. By blaackout I mean that display looses connection to GPU.

Cheers

@Princess Luna if I remeber correctly you have a freesync monitor? Did you try the 440.97 update yet?

Sorry, I only update my drivers every couple of months because I go through the trouble of DDU in safe mode everytime to make sure all is correct.

This happens to me with any driver version with my GTX 1070ti + MG279Q monitor, usually occurs after the monitor is allowed to turn off/sleep.

The only way around this for me was to either restart the pc, use the display driver reset exe that comes with CRU or not allow the monitor to sleep.

Can't remember ever having this issue on an AMD card so i don't think it's my monitor.

I've given up on it though and have just disabled gsync altogether now.
