Is this PSU good?

http://en.sharkoon.com/product//SHP V2

How about this one? can a gtx 1070ti used with these psus_? I couldn't find them on tier listz. Help appreciated

Both are group-regulated units. Personally, I wouldn't trust either with anything above a GTX 1060 or RX 560 in terms of power-draw.

I would strongly recommend trying to find something better if you can.

Hi, what psu is good for i7-4790k with gtx 1070ti?

With my budget I could get Corsair cx650m or super flower eco silver 600w which is both tier b, would it be okay?

Currently using this

https://www.thermaltake.com/litepower-rgb-650w-230v.html

with a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 570 8GB (just using 8pins and not overclocking). No overclocking as well on my CPU or so.
Got 7 fans in total (including the Cpu cooler fan).

Ryzen 5 3400G

MSI B450 Mortar Max

GSkill 8x2 3200Mhz

Will it be an issue if I don't upgrade at soonest to a Tier B?

I mean, I won't be playing 24/7 and just usually 4hrs or max perhaps would be 8hrs. Could the upgrade wait next year coz I really diidn't have enough budget and only noticed this tier list a few months back.

keep in mind that it can start whining, as dualforward can do with higher end gpus (personally had this too with a cx550m and 1070 ti)

it could become one at least, as voltage can easily go out of spec on that machine

I've been OOTL for so long, but I'm surprised on the results of the list. What does the Seasonic M12ii did to fall from Tier B to Tier D and declaring it "Potentially Dangerous"? Sure there's the testing methodology, but I don't understand any bit of it, plus it doesn't say anything how it could be declared "Potentially Dangerous", unless there are some RMA I haven't heard of.

I currently own a Seasonic M12ii 750W I have been using since 2014. I was sold to it because it was recommended by everyone on the previous tier list to replace my Cougar CMX 700W to try to fix an issue that was caused by a dying video card (it didn't fix the issue and my Radeon 5770 died in 2015, replaced with the GTX 970). Now, my GTX 970 has been showing signs of dying, so I am due for a replacement soon. I had to underclock my video card by 55% so that it doesn't crash.

I recently bought a new processor and had cost me everything that I had left for my budget. I'm just about to sell my old system at least to cover  part of the cost of buying a new video card. How "Dangerous" is it to warrant an immediate replacement and make me run the dying video card for a bit longer?

it's more for the <750w models, as those are group regulated and lack uvp

i should run some numbers on the s12ii 750w+ (same platform as m12ii internally), i expect it to be around tier c-b

Can somebody explain me why Superflower Leadex III 650w is at tier D? And why does it mean unrealistic situations?

Quote

Over current protection at +12V is not properly set since it allows the rail to drop well below 11.4 V. The wrong OCP setting at +12V means over power protection isn't working well. Super Flower should look into this issue to fix the +12V rail's OCP. Finally, over temperature protection is working well. - Source

OCP is a critical protection feature to keep your components that are being fed electricity by the 12v rail safe from malfunction during operation or even worse a potential death of the component should things go wrong.

This alone however represents danger on more rare occasions thus you *can* take your chances with it, just be aware that the risk is just higher than an unit with their protections fine tuned.

if it had issues, i wouldn't place it in tier a

even if i personally would've chosen the rmx, it's a good choice

I believe, the RMX would be my pick. You can't go wrong with that.

Life is really challenging. I don't always suceed: )

I ordered the leadex II 650w already but curious why would you choose cwt instead of superflower? After reading some reviews the superflower platform in leadex II is superior to the cwt found in rm650x. Not to mention there is no switch to turn on/off the 0rpm mode in corsair. Hope I've made the right choice with leadex II even tho I was considering leadex III.

superflower does the otp via the fan controller, the corsair can be more quiet at some loads and even if CWT has made some... questionable stuff, they have shown to also make some amazing units

Is a "be quiet! Pure Power 10 CM 600W" legit Tier B+?

yes.

only thing worth noting is that its a dual rail PSU.

edit: it doesnt matter a lot on the 600w model, but its worth noting.

yes, but i do have to note that BQ has it EOL

it's based off the design of the FSP Raider, but is too far modified to call them the same

pp10 and 11 are close to each other
