So is Supremo FM2 fine or not? It's grayed out on the spreadsheet but on the list.

as long as you don't pair it with a high transient GPU, it's a good unit. it's just that it has shown some shutdown issues with certain GPUs

Thank you. What counts as a high transient GPU? Would RTX 2060 super or 5600 XT have issues?

So it's probably safe then? That's great, thanks. Didn't want to go through returning if didn't need to.

As it turns out, no.

Good to know, long awaited review (thanks for the link).
This unit has been storming the market for a few months now, getting a lot of traction in regions that were most severely afflicted by PSU shortages.

Aris went out of his way dismantling the fan, kudos to him !

LOL!  Why would you even ASK?!!?

No 80 PLUS.  No safety certifications.  No protections listed.  +12V is WAY lower than the total power claimed.  Those PSUs mark every check box for why you should NOT buy a cheap PSU.

Surprised they aren't on the top of the list for recommendations around here for some since they are cheap.... 🤣

And then under recommend wattage too on top of it... Oh they don't need that 750W, that's over kill, unless you are using LN2 and overclocking, get the 550W one since it $20 cheaper... A 550W can run that (Enter 3000 Series card here).... Oh you don't need to plug all those power connectors in if the PSU doesn't have them........Yeah they actually do sound that bad..... And I read all too many of those posts.... 🙄

Like that one PSU Aris tested, 160mv to 200mv+ Ripple...

Aerocool Project 7 PSUs are definitely not Tier 1 PSUs. I work for a small system integrator and we were using these for high end builds. Before we stopped using them, the fault rate was ~25% for both 750W and 850W models. The faults were strange, involving the system powering off under very specific loads, usually games. The PSUs could run Prime95 + Furmark for hours without the fault occurring, but would power off within 5 mins of starting the load.

It's possible that we received a poor batch (this all occurred in fall 2019), but I don't think that they should be sitting in Tier 1 with no comment. Since another user reported a similar problem just last week, it may still be present:

Aerocool project 7 750W - listed as Tier 1, but failed to power Nvidia 2080Ti + Ryzen 3600 XT. Experienced PC shut down in demanding games. Changing to 450W PSU from established brand solved my problems.

EVGA | Supernova G2(L) / GS =>850W / P2 / PS / T2 (<=1200W/1600W)

Why less than 1200W for the P2 / PS and T2?? And Greater than 850W for G2?? Wasn't GS a lower quality line than G2.

And the L after G2. Also, I cannot find any G2 models, it seems to be discontinued.

It's only for T2, because the 1600w meets gilding, while 1200w and below only meet the quiet methodology

I hope it's ok to ask

I need a new 850W PSU as my 650W isn't sufficient for my 3700x and a 3080.

I've got the option to purchase either the Super Flower Leadex III ARGB or the CORSAIR RM850x

They're £135 and £125 delivered respectively, if you had the choice which one's the better purchase?

I would go with the Corsair RMX 850W.

Excellent, saves me a tenner.

Any particular reason why? I'd heard the super flower ones were good too

Both are good, but you just can't go wrong with the RMX and it is confirmed to work with the new GPUS.

Another option is the seasonic Focus GX-850.

Same price as the super flower, unfortunately by the time I went to buy the corsair it's gone out of stock

Is it possible to show that better? Currently GS =>850W / P2 / PS / T2 (<=1200W/1600W) seems a bit confusing as well on the other listings.

As per the G2, is the L the new version?
