The DQ750-M is in tier A, the DQ750-M-V2L is in tier C (it has some issues with low Vac input)

Okay thanks. I was checking the spreadsheet and it seems to be listed in Tier A there.

Maybe something to update.

Probably a strange question but... does PSU's weight matter?!

Picked-up a VS550 the other day and it felt cheap, feathery and just... pathetic, despite the rave reviews! Meanwhile, even 350W units from brands such as FSP and Delta feel substantial and well built. I've a Dell T3500 with a 525W PSU and it almost feels like a brick compared to the VS550, despite having 25W less theoretical output.

No idea where you've seen 'rave' reviews for Corsair VS but regardless, no, a weight has very little to do with modern PSU quality, a unit may be heavy just because it's an old inefficient design which needs a lot of heatsinks, and vice versa it may be a good budget platform on modern LLC resonant topology, which happens to perform quite good but it's compact and has small heatsinks.

The OP and the spreadsheet disagree on whether Antec Earthwatts D Green and non-D Green are in tier C or D. Could someone fix it and tell which one is correct?

Changelog sheet in the spreadsheet is the most up-to date, 'Units index' sheet has a tier column which may be outdated.

What tier does this PSU belong to because I can't find it somehow?

Tier A low priority based on the same platform used in TT TP Grand RGB Sync edition.

Some very good stuff is made in China, some of the best things you can buy.

I disagree.

Remember, it was only THREE YEARS AGO that China finally figured out how to make their own ball point pens!  THREE YEARS!

Up until recently, the aluminum foil (HPA) used in almost all quality capacitors had to be imported into China because it was not refined to 99.9% purity.  They only just figured that out 20 years ago.

Another example:  To the naked eye, there's isn't much difference between a rifle bearing in a fan and an FDB, but you can't buy an FDB made in China.  Only Japan or Taiwan.  China just lacks the resources and skills to manufacture precision equipment in any kind of volume.

Some very high end camera lenses and other assorted products are and have been made in China for some time now.

Although the VERY best is still considered to be made in Japan, although somewhat debatable.

Much more complex than a ball point pen.

I do think that Taiwan and Japan are still more advanced however still.

That said my Pro camera lenses are made in Japan.

But then all PSUs are made in China... So they must be doing something right.

Your response reads like, "they didn't want to, didn't think it was important and only recently decide, "eh... why not?"  Which is far from the truth.

I'd prefer to spend less but when you get that in your head when picking out a psu it is a bad idea.  Still though currently I only have an RX 5700 XT but guarantee if I am a buyer in the next few years it will be for a higher end video card and so I wonder is this a good choice?  Also though like I said I wish I could spend less if possible and well since I last purchased a PSU they have so many different rankings whereas in the past it was just looking for Gold.
Also what is the deal with this fan-less mode?  It scares the hell out of me.
Finally I prefer to stick to brands I know and I have a tough time associating Corsair with PSUs still.  I went with Antec and I would have no problem of course going with Seasonic.  What is the deal with Corsair and other brands?  Anyway badly need help here in picking out a new PSU and for the record my old budget used to be $69 to $100 for a PSU.  My current PSU running the RX 5700 XT is an Antec Earthwatts Green 650 or 750 watt PSU.

Yeah, that's not what I ment.

There are a lot of limitations over there in China which we can't get into here.

you know the transiense issue is bad, when a PSU compatility list for GPUs  can actually be useful.

Hello, everyone.
I was doing some reading on the RM 2019 series and found a thread on this very same forum where someone said the following:

"The RM is a stripped down, cheapened up variant that's marginally inferior in quality terms to the TXM and is more on the lines with the latest CX version and is nowhere near close the true RMx."

Exactly how true is this statement?

Thank you for your time.
