Tried to buy a G2 but nobody can deliver.

So if P6 is good for a 'high end' pc, ill buy it.

There are so many good PSUs out today that'll also likely beat P6. It's only Seasonic, after all, so not really that interesting.

Can someone explain why the Thermaltake Toughpower GF2 ARGB is in tier C? Both reviews cited in the spreadsheet (Toms hardware and eteknix) are generally favorable and eteknix gave it editors choice. They say it’s not as good as GF1 but that model is in tier A.

Buy G6 then ? Or Corsair RMx, or Super Flower Leadex III or half a dozen cheaper models.

TT didn't claim OTP, the review is relatively recent, would be moved to tier A in the next revision.

Is the "corsair vengeance 650m 80 plus Silver(semi- modular)(In Tier A)(Blue) a good power supply vs the "corsair cx650-f RGB 80 plus Bronze" (Fully Modular)(in Tier B)(Gold).

It's almost the same thing actually, but CX-F is quieter and not multi-rail.

Corsair TX750M or Evga Supernova 750 GT? I have both of these, which one is better to keep?

Lack of reviews on the EVGA so far.  It's HEC made where the TX is Great Wall.  TX has lackluster ripple, hold up time and transient.  So in other words, hard to say.

Ryzen 5800X | 7800XT | 32GB 3600MHz Ripjaws | Superflower Leadex III 750w

The TX750M has a better build quality.

The GT hasn't been properly reviewed.

It's in tier A low priority right now, would be moved to normal priority in the next revision. Changelog is in the spreadsheet.

And G6 is better than P6?

I can buy for almost the same price.

Technically P6 should be better, but only because of higher efficiency, if they would be proven to be based on the same platform, which we still don't know, but i fully expect them to be. If they're the same price, and there are no cheaper alternatives like Corsair RM-x or Super Flower Leadex III, then yeah, get a P6, why not.

I noticed the HX850 has been removed from a number of Australian retailers in the last few weeks. Just poor stock levels or a refresh incoming?

Ryzen 9 5950x | NH-D15 | ROG STRIX X570-F | G.Skill 32GB DDR4 | MSI Ventus RTX 3080 | WD Black SN850 1TB PCIe 4 | Samsung 850 EVO + 860 EVO 1TB | Corsair 5000D Airflow

Dell S3422DWG | Dell S2721DGF | Corsair K70 RGB Keyboard | Logitech G502 Lightspeed | ATH-R70x

I have an EVGA P2 for years (used this list to choose) and its good.

10 year warranty is awesome, so thats why i want to buy another EVGA for my other pc.

So if P6 and G6 is the same, only efficiency is better, ill buy a P6 for the same price.

I looked at the spreadsheet changelog and it says for revision 14.8 (12.07.2021) moved to from C LP to A , but then also on pending. Missed the change last time?

Edit: it says C LP to A in both places, my mistake reading the spreadsheet.

Recently I've been looking for more information about some Deepcool power supplies that are quite popular where I'm from. More specifically, I was curious about the DA series power supplies that are currently placed in the tier C. What I found out is that there are two versions of these units -- the older one that has group regulation and the newer one with DC-DC.

These are the old models with group regulation:

These are newer ones with DC-DC (there is a letter 'N' at the end of the model name):

There is also a DP-BZ-DA700N which is clearly a group regulated unit (internals) that also has a letter 'N' in the model name.

So my question is, should these newer models (apart from that 700W model) be split and placed higher in the tier list? I only found the Cybenetics report for the older DP-BZ-DA500 (which I guess was used to determine its place in the tier list; it's not specified in the sources though) but haven't found anything about the newer ones, unfortunately.

@Juular, I recently stumbled upon Deepcool power supply product page again and noticed that they've changed the internals of the DP-BZ-DA600N unit. It seems that the platform shown in the picture (links are in the quoted post) doesn't use DC-DC regulation. If you can recall, this was not the case earlier. Because of these changes, I guess we cannot really trust Deepcool with their DA-N line of products and we need to move them to a lower tier alongside the other low-end Deepcool units (DA, DA-M, DN, etc.)

I've just ordered an MSI MPG A850GF and was having a look at the other PSUs made with the same CWT GPU platform, I've noticed the cheap Currys own brand ADX Power W is the same. Is the ADX tier C just because of lack of reviews, is it likely to be a decent budget option?

If it's the actual GPU then yes, but i weren't able to find any information on it besides shots of the grille on the retailer page so i can't reliably say that it is the same. Would've been cool if you could actually buy it and confirm that, even if just by taking shots through the grille without opening it up. Either way tho, if it's GPU then it wouldn't be moved from low priority subtier anyway because we don't have an actual components breakdown and it wouldn't be moved from tier C because Curry doesn't claim OTP for it ... Maybe you could ask Curry about that ? I think i've sent them a e-mail a while ago but haven't received anything back.

Thanks for letting me know. At £60 it might be worth a gamble, the 80+ cert seems to be identical to the MSI:

To be honest I doubt you'll get much information from Currys, it's likely any emails will go to their helpdesk, they won't have any way to get in touch with the product specialist that sourced and approved the PSU.

What that mean.

There's DQ-M and DQ-M-V2L sometimes called just DQ-M V2 (or even just DQ-M, but the picture is actually of -V2L) which are completely different. DQ-M is good, DQ-M-V2L not so much, it's in tiers B/C depending on wattage. Thus a notice warning people that the tier A listing is not for the -V2L variant. Anyway, i haven't seen the OG DQ-M anywhere for a while, it's out of production and wasn't produced in very large quantities to still stay on the shelves seems, so any DQ-M you would see today is likely the -V2L variant. Thus, we will remove the tier A DQ-M entry to avoid confusion in the next revision (along with general cleanup of the tier list from obsolete\irrelevant entries).
