Some question about graphics card?

hey there!

i want to know, is there any way I can find out if my new Graphics Card (purchased from shop) is used or  was  totally intact before buying? My gpu is Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming 8G MI. One of my friend also told me this gpu is a mining gpu because it does have MI in the end. is it true?

It was made to be a mining card, basically just less warranty at less cost if i'm not mistaken. But if you bought it from a reputable shop and it was BNIB, it should be fine.

As for if it was actually new or not, was the package still sealed? and was the card at all dusty when you took it out of the box?

nope didnt see any dust though. the shop isnt very famous but it does have quiet good reputation and good reviews. The main thing is the card does have 3 months of warranty where the shop granted me warranty of 1 year. Im bit confused about it.

 

Note: the shop is official vendor of gigabyte in my country.

honestly should be fine. gigabyte themselves grant a 3 month warranty, but the shop may offer a 1 year warranty at their own expense, whether they hold up their promise or not is a different thing altogether.
