Lol. Nope.

https://www.indeed.com/m/jobs?q=Cad&l=

Of all the listing, I see the word CAD but few the word auto in front of it

Did you even read ANY of those listings.

Of all the listings on that page, two refer to CAD without any context, and all the rest are AutoCAD or Microstation .

And so far, I still have not yet seen any listing that REQUIRES you to have windows or macOS knowledge or usage of macOS or windows as oppose to Linux/Unix which is either required or perferred.

Lol, no they don't.

Every job application that requires you to use Bentley products requires Windows. Any job application that requires you to use Autodesk software is undoubtly windows but might be MacOS X in some cases. Civil3D absolutely is Windows only.

All cloud providers will have Linux flavors for their VMs. What's your point? You do not run webservers on windows or macOS.

You most certainly can run webservers on Windows or MacOS X.

Have you graduated high school? Have you worked at any job? Because it seems like you have no experience with computers in the real world.

  • Proficient in Solid Edge or *similar* CAD software such as Solid Works.

I did not say you can't, i said you *dont* for a host of reasons.

Knowing to use windows is not a marketable skills because everyone does hence i said you dont see such stupid requirements in the job listing. In this day and age, you can not function without knowing computer at some way, shape, or form.

???

I had, both as summer job and intern. I won't say your computer skill is abysmal or patronizingly say mine is superior but I will say an unhealthly repulsion to the Unix terminal or any command line interface for that matter doesn't exactly make you tech savvy nor does an inability to learn another operating system as the job and needs required.

A business might not use Linux and may see training/switching to Linux as costly and higher maintenance but that does not change the fact an Employee who is well verse in Linux can in fact does his job on it without any cost to the company or a hit on productivity. I see your comments that Linux cant or linux suck at xyz as just absurd, for work, personal use, or otherwise.

It is not the first time Ive seen you ranting that Linux is not relevant in the industry when in fact it is heavily used. Many people see issues in your comments as well. i actually saw an image of your post in the Linux section of LTT's discord page dating months back. You obviously seem to enjoy posting these comments as a past time. Seriously, find something better to do. I like to bash Apple and Microsoft but I hardly do this all the time.

Sudo make me a sandwich
