µatx motherboard for i5-9600k and chipset explanation

Hi !

I'm a french student and i'm planning on getting a i5-9600K to replace my 4 years old i5-4460 for a micro ATX build,i already have 2*8 crucial 2400 in DDR4, but i don't know which one to choose between Z390 Z370, H310, H370,B360 or Q370. I don't know what they stand for, so i need help !

I think that the Gigabyte Z390 M should work but is it something as good a bit cheaper ?

Thanks !

Get a R5 3600 on a b450 instead, better CPU and better value.

go for the Z390

if you are going to get a intel i5 9th gen with a K at the end, you have to get a Z chipset, only the Z chipsets are overclockeble for as far as i know and the Z390 is the most updated version to date, if you are not going for the Z chipset, don't bother going for the intel K cpu's.
