Hello,

I have an Asus X555LB laptop and every time my laptop runs on battery the screen turns black. And by that, I mean quite literally, the LCD screen turns off. I am pretty confident that it's an internal issue since I tried everything from changing the power plan settings to tweaking the brightness.

I'll also attach a clip at the end for more context.

My specs are:

  • Asus X555LB Laptop
  • Intel Core I5 5200u processor
  • nVidia GTX 940m 2GB video card
  • Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
  • 8 GB DDR3 1600MHz

Have you tried to switch to another power profile?

Have you got any power saving applications installed as they can overrule any other windows power plans.

Have you updated your operating system? There might be some conflict with the software that asus have preinstalled with the power saving, and therefore turning off the screen.

-I tried it already, but it didn't do anything.

-No, I don't have anything installed

-It's up to date:
