Is Ryzen 1600 3.2 GHZ and RX 5700 bottleneck?

I'm getting around 150 - 160 fps on CSGO. I don't think thats normal

Actually 150-160 FPS is pretty good.

But for my GPU, shouldn't it be running at 200-250 fps?

It depends what resolution you are playing at. At 4K, that fps is expected. 1440P or 1080P and something is bottlenecking or not working as it should. To see if your CPU is bottlenecking during games, install MSI Afterburner and use the ingame overlay to see your CPU and GPU usage. If the cpu working at or around 100% while the GPU isn't, then it is definitely bottlenecking.

Yes the 1600 is a bit old but what speed of ram are you using here?

What monitor?

Again this isnt that bad, its still playable for CSGO

Corsair Veagence LPX 16 gb 2400 because 3200 and 3000 causes BSOD on my asrock B450 Pro 4

AAAH

Well there's your potential problem as ryzen likes fast ram.

And yeah had that motherboard myself, its very particular.

Well then dont bother with anything higher with the 1600 on that motherboard as it has its limitations and with your ram compatibility issues yeah not much to do here.

Do you know any way where I can run 3200 mhz stable on my mobo?

Eh I had trouble betting my ram running at 2666 on that motherboard.

I think it really wanted you to use something with Samsung B die to get working as first gen ryzen was also quite particular.

Did you ever perform a BIOS update on your motherboard?

Thats what helped me but its very hard if you are stuck with the original bios, loads of hoop jumping and its not worth bricking your PC

I recently flashed the mobo to the newest version. I tried going to 3200 and the first 5 minutes my pc BSOD.

Avoid XMP on this motherboard, thats what does it.

Also 2666 seems to be the sweet spot before things go pear shaped.

At least thats how I did it, the motherboard really cant do 3200 if you dont have the right ram kit.

Even if the kit is on the QVL it still needs to have samsung B die and most lower end kits are hynix or micron.

The processor also has this issue too, first gen ryzen had its memory quirks.

what would be the FPS difference between 2666 and 3200 ?

Yeah see what it does, I just know I had a heck of a time with my setup so I compromised.

Running at ddr4 2666 seemed to do the trick, its still not the best but that motherboard and processor have their quirks.

I had a 1700 but first gen ryzen is kind of universal in its issues.

The motherboard is also kind of entry level, yeah it can overclock but I would not go any higher then 3.6 ghz on the processor.

Stability > Brick entire system for 30 more fps. Im going to get a cpu cooler and overclock.

Indeed, though if its any consolation I was able to overclock my ryzen 7 1700 to 3.5 running at ddr4 2666 which is not bad for a low end motherboard :D

not bad at all. What GPU do you have? 5700 is really unstable

I ran the 1700 with a GTX 1060 and 1070Ti

Keep in mind the 5700 is still new so its going to have bugs.

Why do you think I dont have a RTX card yet? Lettings those initial bugs to go away.

I still use the GTX 1070Ti in my current rig.

Im gonna use my rig for the next 4 years and Im not going to do any major upgrades. If I bought a old gpu then I would have had to use it until college :( Also do bugs get fixed when they create new gpu or in software like an new drivers update?

New drivers happen a lot, AMD does update its drivers as often as possible.

Do you have the latest radeon drivers?
