Duel/triple screen flickering when turing on/off a display

Go to solution Solved by caldrin,

You Sounds like Windows thinks that monitor is no longer connected so going through that standard Stuff Windows does when it loses a screen.
Surprised it never happened with your 760.. does it all the time with my 1080ti when I am switching one display off or switching it to another input.

I have just got a rx 580 and now my monitors flicker for a few seconds when i turn one on or off. Didnt happen when i had gtx 760. Only on this card. Is it a card issue? Its really annoying. Any help would be appreciated. Google is useless now a days. Thanks :)

Seems like it’s turning off the extension.

Somewhat. The RX 580 is pretty particular about the cables you use to connect it to the monitors. As a stopgap you can adjust the settings in Radeon Settings > Display > Specs > Override, but I'd recommend trying a different cable.

All 3. There are only 18 total combinations possible.

No one does really... There is no documentation, and asking AMD provides no useful information. Just play around with them and see if it fixes the problem. (it does quite often)
