Hi, so this is my setup:
-Display: 1080p LG 24gm79g 144hz 1ms (6 monhts old)
-Keyboard: Razer ultimate (5 years old)
-Mouse: Corsair M65 RGB (unknown but the right button doesn't go properly)
-Headset: HyperX Cloud2 (2 years old)

-Case: Aerocool GT-A white (6 years old) (I'm a bit bored looking at this case, + it has already fallen onto the ground once and the top and front are yellow ish)
-Fans: 2 top, 1 frontfan and 1 backfan
-HDD: (unknow brand but it is +/-9 years old)
-SSD: 240 gb (4 years old)
-CD Drive (4 years old)
-PSU: Corsair CX750 green (6 years old) (had some booting and rebooting troubles, didn't boot up properly, no screen no keyboard no mouse, got it fixed eventually by replugging in some connectors properly to my mobo)
-Mobo: Z170 a gaming (4 years old)
-CPU: i7 6700 (non k) (4 years old)
-CPU cooler: Stock intel i7 cooler (4 years old)
-RAM: HyperX 16 gb (4 years old)
-GPU: XFX RX 590 Fatboy (1 year old) (the fans worry me a bit since they constantly are running 100% and above even when running aaa games)

In which order should I begin replacing components?

FurMark: CPU: 100% 75 degrees / GPU: 80 degrees 100% fans 108%
Aida: CPU 100% 56 degrees

As it is your build isn't too bad even at the age of some of the parts.

Unless you're having performance issues there doesn't seem to be a need to upgrade your core components right now. If you can, I'd wait until you can afford a full system overhaul and replace almost everything at once. If would prefer to get some new stuff right now then I'd say it's all the secondary stuff you should do first like case, fans, etc. Then later down the line when the 6700 is starting to show its age more, do a full platform overhaul with a new MOBO, CPU and maybe RAM (high speed DDR4 - or DDR5 if that's what's out by then).

If there's one thing I would look at upgrading right now it would be the cooler, get a decent aftermarket one that will let your CPU run cooler than with the craptastic intel stock cooler.

I would wait a bit and do a full system upgrade at some point, rather than small upgrades over time. Only thing I would say you should upgrade now is that HDD, it's getting pretty old and you don't want to lose data if it fails.

If you have to do gradual upgrades I would do HDD>CPU/Motherboard/Case>RAM>PSU>GPU

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X  |  Cooler: Cryorig H7  |  Motherboard: MSI B450 Mortar  |  Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Mini  |  RAM: 32GB DDR4 3000MHz  |  GPU: EVGA 1070ti Gaming (Kraken G12 Watercooled) |  PSU: Corsair TXM650  |  Storage: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB + WD Blue M.2 500GB  |  Network Card: Asus PCE-AC56  |  Monitor: Acer Nitro VG270U  |  Audio: Sennheiser HD6XX + Schiit Fulla 2

Laptop:

Lenovo s540:  CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U  |  RAM: 8GB DDR4 2666MHz  |  GPU: AMD Radeon Vega 8  |  Storage: 256GB NVME SSD

I see... Very diffrent opinions, I guess it's personal when it comes to small upgrading unless some things really are aged.

All of you do seem to agree on a completely new system upgrade. Thing is... Due to budgetting, I can't seem to afford big upgrades and I doubt this will be possible in the near future. So I prefere small upgrading if that's possible.

Lastly, I do have a feeling my PSU sometimes fails in powering up everything. Like I said, my pc had a few times, troubles with booting up (no keyboard, no mouse, no screen).

The way I see it then is right now, to change the CPU cooler, HDD (I have an external drive btw so I won't lose pictures, music and files but I could lose games) and if possible the case.
Then the next upgrade over 1 to 3 years time would be the mobo/CPU and maybe ram.

And then 1-2 years after that upgrade would be the GPU, since the 21 series should come out any time soon and AMD could follow with their respons and 1 of these cards would be THE ideal bomb card without any issues, improved Ray Tracing, improved FPS, improved everything...

Is an aftermarket cooler "significantly" better then the stock cooler? If so, then I would get the noctua's NH-D15 chromax cooler.

For the core of the system, you're best to wait and upgrade all at once. CPU, motherboard, RAM.

Your system is decent for now. The things I'd maybe consider spending money on is storage, since you can take that with you to your next build.

I'd also get rid of that PSU ASAP. The green units generally weren't known as the best, and if it has issues get rid of it now. A bad PSU can take out the rest of the system.

That makes no sense. If you can afford little upgrades here and there, you can afford to wait and upgrade properly later.

Yeah... About that, that's not possible like immidatly. Otherwise I don't have a computer. It's fixed for now. It boots properly.
But anyway, gotcha. If I have the money: PSU>HDD>cooler>case.

By little upgrades I meant the upgrades that are really nessecairy due to aging or issues. If I wanna do a big upgrade, it would cost me everything except for the ram.

Which means, I would need to give out more then 500 euro's and I don't have that amount of money. I have 400-ish. The upgrades described above are the ones that are little.

Besides I don't think my cpu-mobo is gonna die any time soon. So this can wait 1-2 years more.

If you were running Ryzen then I'd say not significantly, but the intel stock cooler has been almost the same design for the last decade. It's out of date for today's CPUs and you'd be better with an NH-D15 any day of the week. That cooler is the bomb. If you're going air (which I would recommend over water cause ease and safety) it's pretty much the best one you can get iirc

Ok I see, thnx for the answer. Yea I'm going deffinatly with the NH-D15 since it also fits for AM4 if I step over to ryzen. The order now should be PSU>Cooler>HDD>Case. I hope I can change all 4 of them, so that the system is ready for my following upgrade which, over time is, cpu-mobo and lastly, the GPU.
