Hey guys,

I received this laptop on Christmas as well as my brother who got the same one. (They're both refurbished from ASUS I believe)

His is still running like brand new and mine is running really slow, I've tried resetting it and its still lagging like hell.

We both have a GTX 1050ti, Windows 10 64bit, 1tb storage HDD

Please help

I forgot to ask what resolution you play at and are the 2 systems identical?

But you can try reinstalling Nvidia drivers to see if that helps.

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

What's that?

Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) is a program that completely uninstalls the graphics driver to make sure that no errors will occur after a reinstall.

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

could be faulty ram,  or a simple thing such as power saving modes,  try set ur gpu to maximum performance in the driver @ 3d settings in nvidia

also windows power plan to high performance, if that doesnt solve it can also be HPET settings

if they have been refurbished im more towards the faulty ram part tho, i had a laptop once with faulty ram on arrival, it was slow at times and stutter and bsods randomly,  figured it was the ram,  got new laptop same model and it was much quicker instantly also and no more stutter ( in my case it was faulty ram )

tho if u dont get any bsods , its possible u just have software problems

Power saving modes dont do anything for me which sucks.

It could be faulty ram but not sure, Would want to know for certain before I go spending money on stuff.

I'll take a look at the HPET guide

every system has hpet , its just software or hardware driven, if u dont have it in the bios u need to disable it in windows

coz by default its turned on\

try the power management stuff, or temp monitor, maybe ur system is throttling

faulty ram is still a factor i would run a prime95 blend for atleast 12hours to make sure its stable

I tried disabling it in windows but got this

C:\WINDOWS\system32>bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock
An error occurred while attempting to delete the specified data element.
Element not found.

I'll check BIOS anyways and see, I'll do a prime95 test and see aswell

Thanks :)
