Corners of my monitor screen flickering in brightness

I bought a new gaming monitor, the ASUS RoG XG32VQR, its a freesync monitor with hdr. My GPU i'm using is an Asus RTX 2070 Super Strix. I don't know if this is an issue with the monitor of the GPU but when I enable G-Sync/Freesync compatible on the Nvidia control panel, when I play a game on fullscreen with Gsync/freesync compatible, the corners of my screen would flicker in brightness from time to time, its not constant but it does happen. Whether this is on League of Legends, Apex Legends, PUBG... If I use Gsync/freesync, the corners of my screen would flicker in brightness from time to time. Maybe its an issue with HDR? Any known fixes to this or is my monitor just faulty?

Looks like it has a feature called 'shadow boost'. try disabling it.

it also seems to have 'game visual' modes , try messing with that setting.

its also possible what ever backlight they are using starts to flicker at lower frequency, and since ur using VRR, if ur FPS suddenly drops u may then notice flickering when the backlight frequency drops to a level that u can start to notice. This would only happen now and then. the only fix is to ensure ur FPS doesnt drop.
