Is it possible to burn an iso file onto a hard drive and directly boot off of it?

Exactly as the topic described. Trying to switch from Windows to Manjaro on my old laptop. I wonder if I can directly burn the iso file into a new SSD, swap the drive, and boot off of it without going through settings in bios. Just being a little lazy here. ?

Sure. You just can't install to same drive/partition you are booting from. USB is just another drive.
