Hi guys!

i've been planning on building my own pc for a while now, and because i recently got a great deal on a samsung ultrawide i guess it's time i actually do the build! (still running i7-920 & gtx570 now).

So, the monitor i got is the samsung C34H90  (WJUXEN)

as it's ofcourse a 1440p 100Hz monitor i'd like to make use of it's capabilities, which now is quite impossible ?‍♂️

The build will primarily be used to game & work (all web based). and sometimes a bit of light creative work (illustrator etc).

I think i'm going towards the Ryzen5 3600 cpu, for GPU i'm thinking about the 5700 xt , but i've been told to look into the rtx2070 Super. I do have a Corsair RM650 which i plan to reuse.

So, i made a small list of parts, and i'd like to get some second opinions. i'm not an expert, i do enjoy pc tech. i'm sure my choices were in some way really stupid, so that's why i'm reaching out to you guys!

Thanks in advance!

Laurent

Overall pretty solid choices, can't say you'd be disappointed. The Force MP510 is more intended for workstation use than gaming, if you're not doing anything professional then consider a cheaper SSD like an Intel 660p or sabrent rocket. Also that 5700XT really would be the way to go in my opinion, very similar performance to the 2070 super for much lower cost.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Allright, thanks! Do you recommend a specific aftermarket 5700XT? also, i chose for the corsair force as it was a popular choice in my region and i saw some mixed reviews about the 660p, i'll check it out!

Sapphire is the go to for AMD cards. Either of their models would do fine, though nitro+ > pulse.

If prices are comparable with the advice, it should be nearly a 200 euro price difference for nearly the same performance.
