Recommended Monitor Resolution?

I plan on upgrading from my 1080p monitor to something higher resolution because I'm editing photos and video more and more these days. However, the max monitor size my desk will allow is between 24 and 25 inches. At that size, would getting and 4k monitor versus a 1440p monitor matter that much? Thanks.

If you're editing photos and video I'd use a 4K monitor at any size.  24" 4K sounds fine.

24inch 4k is good. If you game better get a 1440p monitor since you also need to have better GPU to pump the frames in 4K.

Have you considered also an ultra wide?
