Hey guys, my friend is going to get a new PC, but he has got a dilemma, should he buy the rtx 2060 and pair it up with the ryzen 7 3700x + seperate cooler, or should he buy the ryzen 5 3600x with the rtx 2060 super and save a little money, he is gonna record videos aswell. Or is the 2060 Super overkill for mainly recording and playing Fortnite and Apex?

Ryzen 5 3600 with 2070 an option?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

The Ryzen 5 3600 is plenty for gaming and recording. The 3700x is complete overkill and you can easily OC the 3600 to match the 3600x, so there is no point in paying extra for it. I'm with @Fasauceome on this one, get the 3600 and a better GPU.

What software? He could possibly save even more money going for a 5700 if the software isn't actively hostile to AMD cards...
