Headphone as mic and sound combo jack but of dont

Hello

I have an Asus b250m prime motherboard when I plug my headphone in I have a number of options. This means I can configure any jack on my case or mono to a mic, speaker, subwoofer etc. my question is can I use software to use my combo mic and sound headphone with my pc. Could I do a registry hack?

btw is use the Realtek audio manager

thanks

Technology is NEVER easy :(

I am doubtful there is a software solution. The motherboards 3.5mm jacks in most cases don't support that type of input. But you can get cheep adapters to make it work:

Just go to your favorite online retailer ans search for "Headset Splitter".

I don't quite understand you here.

Are you saying you have a headset with one cable, one connector, which is a combination microphone and headphone jack? If that's the case, you can use one of these to split the signal. One for the audio out, one for the mic in.
