One of my ram sticks is not working after being taken out then placed back again

So i finished building my pc for around 3 months now and have had no problem with it except one. There was a red light in my motherboard next to my ram which i did not know what it was (later found out it was xmp) and so i turned off my computer and took out the ram that had the red light next to it, after that i turned my computer back on with no problem and the red light was no there anymore so i just turned my pc off again and i placed the ram back in the same slot just this time it did not turn back on, the rgb was on and the pc looked fine but there was no display and when i took out the same ram again and turn on my pc i does turn on and display, it just doesn't turn on when there is that other ram stick placed.

i hope you can help me i have no clue what is happening and google has not helped.
