swords. maybe gamers like swords too??

ok, so this is a forum, and I want to talk to a more broad audience than just a few sword enthusiasts,,, (well, for one thing they don't like when you say anything they wouldn't), mostly because the responses you get from a group are always the same, so by talking to different groups, you get different responses, where each group has about one or two personalities.

some introduction::: I really like the slingshot channel, because that guy is very open minded with the idea that people would have desired heavier swords than most of the examples we have today.

basically, I eventually want to buy a super heavy sword, very thick, rediculous, the kind of thing so many people say is useless.... luckily, I'm not on my way to any battlefields, its just a toy for bashing things with, like metal car parts or rocks.

here's a picture which describes (very roughly) about what I am looking for, and a video which is a tour of my current sword collection.

as for discussion,,, I am looking to discuss anything related to::

-would it be possible to find such heavy swords

-do people think they could be better for some uses

-is it possible that the swords in museums are not battle-swords, but are just like today's swords, which are stage props mostly, or for dress costume,

-yes, there is another era of swords from the gunpowder age, which are all VERY light and springy,, i think it is very likely that these swords are also two things: accurate, but also subject to "military intelligence", where the very good construction of swords was mostly not used unless for certain people who were special, most people could not buy high quality swords because of their status.
