Anybody else having steam audio issues

I tried playing star trek bridge crew on Oculus last night and apparently everybody was having issues where audio was cutting in and out. It was difficult playing because nobody could really understand each other. Well, I tried playing 'Onward (another game I downloaded from steam) and there was no sound and my mic wasn't picking me up. I had to go into the Windows audio settings and reselect 'Rift audio' However, every time I reopened the game the audio settings would revert back to speakers and external mic. I noticed however when I was in the Oculus home, the audio and mic worked perfectly. I don't know if the issues with STBC and Onward are related (both being steam games) but it was very bizarre.

I've never had this issue and I don't ever touch the Windows audio settings. Is this a steam issue with the recent update? It's really quite annoying.

Nope.

Nope.

I'd guess it has something to do with your Oculus.

Very well could be. The timing between my mic and audio not working and everybody else having audio issues with STBC was peculiar though.

Do you and everyone else playing STBC still have the audio issue now?

And this... "I tried playing 'Onward (another game I downloaded from steam) and there was no sound and my mic wasn't picking me up. I had to go into the Windows audio settings and reselect 'Rift audio' However, every time I reopened the game the audio settings would revert back to speakers and external mic."

Sounds like an issue on your end only. Possibly with your microphone. I did find this thread that might be similar to your issue... Mic Problem.

There's also a few more threads in the STBC Steam discussions on mic issues if you wanna check them out.

Thank you sir. No, I haven't tried STBC yet today as I'm stuck at work. I hope this was just a weird fluke...I'm thinking the STBC and Onward issues were unrelated, albeit strange that these problems occurred at the same time. It seems everybody was having trouble with audio on STBC last night, nobody could understand each other because the audio would cut out.

I've had the Oculus for about 8 months and have never experienced such trouble before last night.
