Truly Wireless In Ear Headphones

Hi there folks, I'm looking into getting some truly wireless in ear headphones since it's become highly likely my next phone will not have a headphone jack (since I'll probably get either a Samsung S11 or OnePlus 7T Pro). My problem is I want to get some that will tick all the boxes for me:

  1. Easy to keep in my ears - I have quite large ears but that's less of the issue, my problem is that they stick out a fair bit from my head so it's often quite hard to find in ear headphones that do stay in well. The best ones I've ever found are a pair of JVC Xtra Bass ones or the AKG ones that came bundled with my Samsung S8 (which have been great and actually survived the washing machine)
  2. Comfortable for long periods - I tend to listen to music a lot and having headphones that are comfortable is a must when studying for exams, working in the lab and filling in labbooks. Earphones that are fatiguing will not do.
  3. Long Battery Life - Kinda goes along with the previous point. I will spend a good long chunk of the day with these in and they need to last
  4. Small - I don't mean tiny, but I don't want the equivalent of shrek ears. Something small and light that fits more in my ear than sticking out would be great.
  5. Durable - I'm realising these are likely going to be quite expensive so I want them to last.

I'm not really sure what sort of budget I'm looking for here so all recommendations are welcome. Thanks in advance guys.

I have some of These they actually have a wire connecting them at the back, but other than that they tick all the boxes IMO.

Sadly I don't think there are any earphones that fit all of your criteria.

Long battery life and small goes against each other, and I don't think any of them are durable in the sense that you will be able to keep them for let's say 5+ years. The batteries inside them is not easily replaceable, isn't really small and will degrade over the years.

Anyway, my only experience is with the Airpods and the Galaxy Buds. Out of those I prefer the buds. They fit well in my ears, are comfortable and has decent sound for being so small.

Yeah, I see... not sure if that's possible with your needs, but wish you good luck :)

Even if they manage most it would be good. I'd take not sticking miles out my ears over a small hit to battery. I was looking at Galaxy Buds since they seem to offer most of what I want from the earphones

Here is a word of warning about the Galaxy Buds. The microphone is awful.

I think they are great for music, but you can't really use them for calls.

I rarely make phone calls anyway so that doesn't bother me
