Very Slow Premiere Performance with RX 580

Hi All,

 

Have recently installed premiere on my pc (6700k, rx580, ssd, 16gb ram) and have been getting significantly longer render times and exports (10 times as long) than on my 5 year old macbook pro!

 

Premiere recognises my gpu and allows me to select open cl rendering with gpu, however it renders slightly faster selecting to use software encoding.

 

I have tried a number of possible solutions found online such as changing registry items, reinstalling drivers, disabling intel gpu and finally had a small amount of success after reinstalling windows, it rendered once at the correct speed and then next time i was in premiere it took ten times longer again with an identical project.

 

I'm out of ideas and would really appreciate any help.
