you could mod the monitor's connection to the motherboard to be an input from an external source, tho at that point it's more like "reusing components from a laptop you'll never use otherwise"

There isn’t just a little analog adapter, converting to lvds requires something like that board.

So this will require me to tear out the monitor from the chassis?

This seems a lot easier than tearing out the display to connect it to a small board. I will try this out thanks bro!
