Hey everyone!

My current specs:

Graphics card: GTX970

Processor: Intel Core i7-6700k

Ram: 32gb

Mainboard: Asus Z170-K

Power supply: be quiet! s8 600W

For upcoming 2020 games, like Cyberpunk 2077, MSFS 2020 and Kerbal Space Program 2 I want to play on my Full HD 144hz Monitor on (hopefully) highest graphic settings, I want to upgrade my GPU.

I want a GeForce Graphics Card and I am particularly looking at either an RTX2060 Super or RTX2070 Super. I've got around 500€ to spare.

Which one of these should I consider buying? Are there any other cards that meet my requirements and are the better option to choose from?

Thanks in advance!

without proper benchmarks of those games we wont know how much the quad core 6700k holds back either GPU and whether you have to put some budget over there as well, so I'd say you should wait.

either a 2070 super or RX5700xt is your best options at your price point. I personally would go for the 5700xt myself.

Regardless of GPU, your cpu is probably going to be the problem here, overclocking will help it a bit but my guess is that the CPU will be the bottleneck in the future.

If the current KSP and the reputation of CDPR is anything to go by that cpu is going to cause trouble.

There are no exact numbers to tell you how bad it will be, but i think it's safe to say that both the 2060S and 2070S will be held back so in reality the difference will probably be quite small...

Thanks, which CPU would be worth (and not too expensive) upgrading to?
