returning 3700x for i9 9900k (gaming) ??

Hello i just got ryzen 3700x + mobo as a gift and having second thoughts about returning it and going for i9 9900K, which should be better for gaming according to youtube. Is 3700x good for 1440p 144hz gaming ? Besides gaming i also edit arround 500photos a week in capture one (+ sometimes photoshop). What do you think should i go intel or keep amd ? or maybe wait Q1 2020 intel next gen ? ( my previous cpu was i5 8600 , not overclockable version).  AMD works just fine besides long boot time, no matter what bios version. Thanks for your time and advice

In your case I would go with the 9900K over the 3700X every time.

• Adobe software favors Intel.
• For high refresh rate gaming you want the higher turbo.

thats an odd issue, does it re-do the memmory training each boot or something? manual memmory OC might help with that.
