Really wasn't sure whether I should post this here or in the case section since a good amount of my dilemma has to do with finding the right case.

I'd say within a year (me having the cash by that point) I'm wanting to put together a pc build for a living room setup. I already have my main pc (Ryzen 7 3700x, 32gb ram, just bought a 2080 super, and am using a 2560x1440 @ 165hz gsync monitor), so this pc wouldn't need to be anywhere near as strong. I'm more than likely going to go with a 3rd gen Ryzen 5 cpu, and I have 32gb of 3000mhz ram lying around (me upgrading to 3600mhz ram for Ryzen 3), I'll more than likely use at least 16gb of it for the build.

With the pc I'm currently using in my living room, it's pretty damn weak, with a ryzen 3 1200 cpu, 8gb ram, and a 1050 ti. Honestly I don't currently game on it that much, and when I do it's mainly just older games emulated (since I primarily use my main pc), I mainly use this one for storage outside of my main pc and to run my plex server, but one thing I'd like to do at some point is look into Steam's VR. My main pc could definitely tear through VR, though the room it's in is way too small and cluttered for that, the living room would work a whole lot better, also my pc probably weighs around 50-75 pounds with all the shit in it, so carrying it back and forth isn't an option. So that's another reason why I plan on building a new pc for my living room.

As far as rough ideas go, could I get by with a Ryzen 5 3rd gen cpu for VR? For graphics cards I'll likely just reuse a 1070 that I just upgraded from. When it comes to cases though, I'm at a complete loss. I would really like to do an mITX build, but I'm having trouble finding the right ITX case. I'd like something that has good aesthetics but still has good functionality. Also the 1070 gpu I have (MSI brand) is pretty bulky, so cases that are too small might not work. I am open to an mATX build, but I'm not sure about which case I'd want to go with. I really like Fractal Design's cases, but I view them as too plain looking for something I'd want in a living room. Another thing is since I use my current living room pc for storage, I'd need a case that has at least one, preferably two 3.5 drive bays (the problem being if I only had one slot and that one got filled up I'd need to replace it with something bigger instead of adding a second). I probably could just get a dedicated NAS that's separate from my pc, but I'm not entirely sure how well one can handle that for Plex, I know they have a compatibility chart, but I don't know how well they work in practice, since at any time I could have 2-4 people wanting to stream something at the same time. I've seen some cases I believe that can be wall mounted, which might be really cool, but don't remember which ones off the top of my head
