RX 5500 vs RX 580

Now the RX 580 seems to be at least from my perspective a great budget GPU for playing modern titles, however the RX 5500 just came out.

Now I have a couple of questions.

Would I be able buy the RX 5500 or does it only come in prebuilts?

How much better would it perform compared to an RX 580?

Would be worth spending the extra money on it? (if I could buy it from retail or ebay)

Hard to say. Official slides suggest a 15% gain on top of the Rx 480 which tbh is what the 580 did. However leaks of benchmarks show up to 50% gain on top of the 480.

Eventually you'll be able to buy one on their own, but when... is up to everyone's guess since there's no official launch date. It should be some time at the end of the year tho, that's a big sales period.

You'll probably be able to buy the 5500 in time for Christmas, but not before december if I had to guess
