CPU upgrade for HP Pavillion dv4-2160US

This my first time posting in this forum please be kind.

Current config of my laptop is

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU       M 430  @ 2.27GHz 

RAM: 4GB will upgrade to 8

SSD: 240GB

OS: Ubuntu 14.04.4 

Am planning to upgrade my old laptop cpu. From googling and seeing various forms, i understand that the new CPU has to have same TDP and also from same generation.

I'm not entirely sure what it means. I couldn't find the service manual for this specific laptop configuration with compatible processor replacement suggestions.

Can anybody help me out with what is the max upgrade capacity is for this laptop? I would like to move to i7 series but not sure which one specifically!
