I do a lot of blender and gamdev work. I also play AAA games on my PC (well at the moment I try to!) and I am looking to upgrade my graphics card, my current PC is pretty old:

Processor - Intel® Core™ i5-6400
- Quad-Core
- 2.7 GHz / 3.3 GHz with Turbo Boost
- 6 MB cache Memory (RAM) 8 GB DDR3 (16 GB maximum installable RAM)
- Graphics card AMD Radeon™ R5-330 (2 GB GDDR3)

After having enough of slow render times and frame rates, I thought its time for an upgrade. But I would really appreciate some help as this is such an investment and I am not as well versed in Graphics cards as I used to be. In terms of budget I was thinking £500-£700ish. B

I have been thinking about the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super for £670. What would your thoughts be? Perhaps its overkill?

Unless you plan on also upgrading your cpu, a 2080 super will be bottlenecked by your system. If you don't want to upgrade the cpu, then go with a 2060 or 1660 ti.
