so I'm not that really good with computers but a while back i was adding a new hdd but accidently touched my mobo and sent static shock throughout the system and basically fried it. Since tuesday ive rebuilt my rig with a new tuf z370 mobo and the computer is rebooting on start up before it reaches bios, earlier on unplugged my cpu cable and the system has not rebooted although i cant actually do anything as it lacks the actual cpu.

any ideas on what to do? my compenonts are as follows

CPU: I7-6700

Ram: Hyper x Fury(2x4gb) ddr4

Motherboard: TUG z370-plus

GPU:GTX 960 2gb

PSU:antec 500w

Your motherboard doesn't support your cpu.

The 6000 and 7000 series are for 100 and 200 series board

300 series boards support the 8000 and 9000 series of cpu's.

Intel uses the same socket for both but they cannot be interchanged.
