Hello People!

I though i would buy the Intel i7 8700k. But i don't know if it is good for gaming. I mainly do gaming, but I really love to go back to the video editing or game developing and modeling from time to time. So I need you peoples help with getting a new cpu.

My System Specs:
Operating System
    Windows 10 Pro N 64-bit

CPU
    Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz
    Haswell 22nm Technology

RAM
    20.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. B85M-D3H (SOCKET 0)

Graphics
    BenQ XL2411Z (1920x1080@60Hz)
8176MB ATI Radeon RX Vega (ATI)

Storage
111GB Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB (SATA (SSD)
    1863GB Seagate ST2000NM0011 (SATA )

Oh,, and should I change something else overall like ram or anything?

well you could go with a B450 tomahawk and a 3600. Basically performs the same as a 8700k

If you want a new cpu, you'll also need new motherboard and ram, just keep that in mind

but like @Stormseeker9 said a B450 and a Ryzen 5 3600 is a good combo, and cheaper than intel, pair that with some new DDR4 ram and you'll get a big boost in performance
