Hi Guys, I’d like to know which intel cpus can be dellidded without dealing with solder.

Can most of the 6th to 9th generation processors be delidded normally?

(I appreciate that soldered ones CAN actually be delidded of course, but it’s going to be too much hassle to relid for me).

I believe 3000 - 8000 series are TIM, anything before or after are soldered. May have been 4000 series, cant remember 100% off the top of my head.

probably not.

the 9350kf is a pretty awful chip valuewise and performance wise iirc.

Thanks. While I appreciate your feedback in this post, I did’t ask for your opinion on how good it is, only whether or not it was soldered... which you didn’t answer ?

Personally I think this is a very viable chip for the purpose I have in mind.

Dont think the core i5 is soldered

Implying i5 and below isnt soldered, tho i didnt strictly state that.

And also here:

And for confirmation, here. Only K chips i5 and above for 9th gen are soldered.

Im just saying, as people buy the chip thinking its good. When compared to other options, its not really.
