After a lot of research so I can be somewhat adequate with PCs, I've put together a list of parts for my next build. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GqPycq I have a $3000 budget (including peripherals) and I just wanted some others' opinion on it to make sure there are no big problems I missed. I plan on gaming and doing video editing on it and I plan to order parts around Black Friday/Cyber Monday for (hopefully) some better deals. Thanks for any help!

The PC itself doesn't need to go past like $1200-1300 max

And it's going to be easier to run 2 sticks of RAM at higher frequencies, 16Gbs of would be easier to run at higher speeds as well, I don't go past 16GBs while doing 4k 60fps video editing.

Really don't need a 2080 super for 1080p 240hz, you're mostly CPU limited anyways, some games might only go to 200fps or so.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I don't recommend a 240Hz monitor, it's a waste of money unless you're quite legitimately in the top 0.01% of players for whatever esport you're targeting. I played Overwatch in grandmaster and I absolutely don't believe for even a second that my monitor stopped me from hitting top 500, anybody who believes otherwise is an absolute fool that's kidding themselves.

I also don't recommend it because while the 3700X is great, it's not what you should be pairing that monitor with.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.
