Minimum DDR4 ram for 4K video editing

I am looking to purchase a new pre-built computer desktop but the one I have my eyes on comes with 8 GB of DDR4 ram. I am also a content creator on Youtube and I edit videos on a regular basis. But the key thing is that with this new PC I want to be able to edit 4K video at 30 fps (and eventually in the future at 60 fps.) My question is what is the minimum amount of ram I should have on my desktop computer once I buy it? I know probably by common sense that the higher the RAM the better, but I'm on a low budget, so money is sort of an issue. But I also don't want to cheap out too much. What are your suggestions? Thank you.

basically for any workstation PC these days, 16GB is basically a must

16 GB is truly a must, even with 1080p video editing i regularly break the 8GB barrier
