hello, how big difference would be between i5 8250u (msi ps42 ) vs i7 8750h (msi p65 ) ? I am about to buy a new laptop, usage : mainy light stuff like organizing wedding photos, web browsing, but i would like to use it sometimes for photo editing (weddings) as well when i am abroad (which is not often). Maybe some video editing in adobe premiere in the future (3-6 min clips). Msi P65 with i7 is 500 dollars more in my country, only other advantage is bigger screen, is it worth it? I do not care about the size of ssd and i would upgrade ram myself in both cases. I already tried display of ps42 and after calibration its great, so display is fine for me in both cases as well. THX

the i7 has 500 MHz faster boost clock and 2 more cores, but with more speed and cores comes less battery, the i5 doesn't seem like it would be to bad a choice if saving money was a priority.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I used to have a laptop with the i5 8250U IIRC, it's a solid CPU. My siblings have that laptop now (sold it to my dad). It also has a 1050 2GB, they use it for Inkscape, messing around with Blender modeling and basic games, as well as the usual MS Word and web browsing and such. It's close to former flagships like the 7700HQ. Unless you really need the bigger screen, I'd say another 2 cores isn't worth $500. If you did a lot of work in Premiere then maybe, but Photo editing isn't multicore intensive AFAIK.
