Help me upgrade my rig?

I believe I have upgraded my rig to the point of no return and need to start anew with most likely, a new mobo, memory, cpu, gpu.

 

My current specs are below. I have been seriously considering the i5 9600k paired with a solid mobo and probably a 2070 super? I currently mainly use the rig for some Vive VR, a lot of 3840x1080 F1 racing, for audio engineering, and I have a ton of hard drives so I prefer a motherboard with plenty of Sata options. I don't really plan on streaming or video editing anytime soon. Just looking for the next major upgrade that should last me a few years (at least the core system mobo, cpu, memory, etc...)

 

Money isnt a major concern but would like to stick to around 1000$ for the upgrade

You could consider the 3600 which will be better for the same value and a 5700xt which will be better value and performance.

I made that but keep it mind it's more expensive and the AMD varient will be better by performance and value :

More expensive (160$) but better and it has 8 sata ports.
