My Local Disk (D) Become RAW after windows update

Check for hidden John Cena's......you often can't see him.

:D

Seriously though, can you yank it and try hooking it up thru usb? I had a drive showing different things when plugged in vs usb on different computers... had something to do with weird partions that were on it out of the box.

Note: My problem was with a blank drive, so it was showing different sizes...like 1tb vs 4tbs....

I don't have much faith that your data is safe :(

If you can back up the drive first to prevent any potential for further lose.

Step 1: Go to the start menu, type in "cmd" in a search bar.

Step 2: Right click cmd.exe and choose "Run as Administrator".

Step 3: Type "chkdsk /X /f the drive letter:" or "chkdsk the drive letter: /f " in the command window to repair RAW drive.

i google a bit and found that you can't change from RAW to NTFS without losing data, means i need to backup my whole drive first then change to NTFS and put my data back in?

Depends on what happened to it. If just the partition-table entry got corrupted, it'd be really easy to change it back to NTFS under Linux and wouldn't require formatting anything. Alas, I assume you ain't got any idea how to use Linux, do you?
