im curious, I have trouble with basic math due to a disability, how much storage would I need for my full game library. from steam, gog, uplay, origin and wow/classic/diablo3 , gw2 and fallout 76, 3, new vegas, 1,2and tactics.

I will need a terabyte or so just for the play anywhere games from ms store.

ive attached images of my libraries without revealing any personal info. tho bare in mind I had to attach 2 of the images

Do you play all your games at once? cause you most likely dont

i mean you can do this, it would just be slow and risk the loss of data by 3 times

i just use a SSD to have the games i am currently playing

and ssds are not as expensive anymore so even a 1 tb ssd would hold a decent amount of games

That's...a massive ask for someone to go through and figure out how big each game is.

If you're not good at math, do this:

Open a spreadsheet, put in the title, and then in the next cell put in how many GB's the game is.

Do this for every game.

At the end, select the first cell with the size data, and pull down until you reach a cell with no data in it.

Then hit the autosum button.

You'll have your answer.

I already have 3 1tb crucial ssds one is the raid setup where one is clone of the one I actually use the other is for my currently played games, but id like to have everything installed, and only have the drives active should I want to play any of the other games, I already have 2 1tb in a spanned setup for my movies and music and data loss isn't an issue due to the fact pay for a backup service where I can get it all back on drive or download. also cloud saves with steam uplay and gog make life easier as well as my manual backups to my google drive, I leanred from that back in the ide days, used to email my saves to my self for back up. its mostly the fact I just want everything installed and will likely end up using them to cache my steam library like linus set up.

the issue is, that hard disks don't give a perfect 1024gb per terabyte so working the right storage size was for an effort to save money, if 3 2tb drives isn't enough I wont bother with doing it at all as I don't really need to buy a third sata3 pcie x1 card. I use 2 of them already.
