by default B450s do not ship with out of the box Ryzen 3000 ready BIOS. They may have been updated already and will have a sticker on the box saying Ryzen 3000 ready. If it does not have that, then you will need to update the BIOS to a compatible one either through the use of a 2nd gen CPU, BIOS flashback if the board supports it, or through an AMD bootkit. Hi, I was wondering if you need to flash the bios for the MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC motherboard. Or does it support a 3rd gen CPU right out the box? On the MSI forums it says that its supported but how do you check to make sure that you have one that is updated? If anyone knows the answer or can link me to a post explaining what to do that would be great!

not like it matters, the board supports BIOS flashing without CPU

Hey I just got it last month from retail shop works just fine..new stock mostly up to date I guess...xD..before that it wasn't available for sales...
