DP > HDMI adapter to work with 4K TV + amd 6850??

couldnt find the actual specs of sapphire 6850 , some say it can output 4K 30fps at display port.

while tv only gets a hdmi..

 

so will DP > HDMI adapter to work with 4K TV + amd 6850??

 

i have a feeling if I get the adapter, I will have a newer gpu soon...
