Should I wait for Ampere GPU's

Hi everyone. 

quite simple question really. 

 

I want to build a new gaming pc but I don't know whether it's worth to wait for the new Nvidia Ampere said to release 1H in 2020

given that we known very little to nothing about them, waaaay to early to tell.

 

If you're forever waiting on the next release of something, you will never buy anything.

my current rig has a 1080ti which is still a very good card for the games I am playing.

So given that I don't need to upgrade right now what would you guys suggest?

Keep the 1080Ti definitely.

I'm in the same boat, actually mine is more of a canoe - as i currently have a 1660 Ti paired with a 2500k. (yes, the GPU is bottlenecked) I need several upgrades.
Waiting to build a new PC with a 3950x, but unsure if 2080 Ti (Super?) or wait on Ampere.
3080 or 3080 Ti will probably make 4K more mainstream, which is the only reason i see to wait for it. Most anything under 4K is no problem on Turing.
