New Build - DisplayPort no signal.

I built a new desktop and bought LG - 27UL600-W 27 for it.  The monitor has 2 HDMI ports and 1 DP port.  When I connect DP I get no signal, I hear the sound that windows makes when you connect something but no video at all.  I tried this few times and once I got the video to show up for split second and disappear.  The monitor works fine when connected via HDMI.  Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?  I'm guessing it's either bad DP on monitor, bad cable or software related.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
