My problem is that when i overclock my r7 1700 to any frequency and while I'm specifically gaming my pc :

  • Crashes and goes directly to the bios
  • Or I have a BSOD, either Unexpected Store exception or Critical Process Died

I don't have this problem while running the CPU stock only when the CPU is overclocked and while gaming

Also when i use cinebench to check if the overclock is stable, everything appears to be fine

To resolve the problem, I've tried to Reinstall windows ( I've done it three times) , check if my hard drives are corrupted or damaged ,check if my Ram is faulty  , different voltages for the overclock

And Nothing has worked So far to resolve the problem.

Here Are my Specs:

  • CPU: R7 1700
  • CPU Cooler: Wraith Spire Max
  • GPU: GTX 1080 Turbo OC
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 2X8 16GB 3200MHZ
  • PSU: Be Quiet! Pure Power 9
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte X370 Gaming K7
  • Motherboard Firmware F42a
  • Windows 10 Pro 64Bit Version 1903

Problem then is your overclock is unstable then. Cinebench is not a stress test for long term stability really. Need to use something like OCCT or Aida64 for long term stress testing to verify stability of overclock.
