Control a hardware MP3 Player through a PC

Hi.

I have an idea of getting a small MP3 player, like Sandisk or Walkman ones, but would like to be able to plug it into USB and be able to control the player, such as start, stop and skip songs from the keyboard shortcuts (while the player is plugged into a PC). It is possible to do it on the phone, but I want a separate MP3 player. Do any of the players support that?

Thanks!

I don't think so  as mp3players tend to show up as mass storage devices on a pc not somehting you can conrol.
