how do i config static ip for pi-hole(屁眼)

i have a server rig gen8 its running windows server,i install vm running linux.Should i config static ip for this machine on router or  windows Network and Sharing Center?

In my area, static IPs are only available under the buisness line. If you can set a static IP, do it through the router

If your talking LAN IP. There are a few ways. Generally on the device itself, you can set the IP. OR in some cases you can create a IP reservation in your routers DHCP server for the device. As for the VM config, If the VM is running Pi Hole then it will need a static address. Though Im not sure how VM's work that well, Im not sure how IP's are handled for VMs. 

 

If your talking WAN IP, then you need to talk to your ISP.
